Meet the Tutor

Emma Lawlor MA
A NOTE FROM ME
Greetings and welcome to my tutoring profile! My name is Miss Lawlor, and I am a religious tutor with a passion for education and a deep commitment to helping students explore and understand their faith.
With a master's degree in theology and philosophy, I have a solid foundation in the theological and philosophical traditions that underpin many religious practices. But more than that, I am dedicated to helping students develop a nuanced and thoughtful approach to their faith, one that is informed by critical thinking, historical context, and personal experience.
As a tutor, I believe that every student is unique and that learning is most effective when it is tailored to each individual's needs and interests. I work closely with my students to identify their strengths, challenges, and goals, and then develop customized lesson plans that engage their minds and ignite their curiosity.
Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of a particular religious tradition, prepare for a sacrament or ceremony, or simply explore your faith in more depth, I am here to help. Let's work together to unlock the transformative power of religious education and help you discover your own path towards greater spiritual fulfillment.

Masters degree in Theology and Philosophy
PVG Certified

Recent Work

March 14th
Since it’s Lent and Ramadan is near, I decided to split the door in two to honour both

Febuary 22nd
Ash Wednesday door display. It’s not the most exciting or colourful but I think we did a good job lol

Febuary 21st
Happy #ShroveTuesday2023 from myself and S3 we spent today learning about the origins of Shrove Tuesday, Ash Wednesday and Lent

November 10th
S4 have been looking at moral issues and today were allowed to choose their own to research. A girl chose to research “designer babies” and the moral implications of such. An amazing piece of work

October 5th
Today, S3 were discussing racism and ways which we may be able to tackle racism in our communities. They were considering some of the many benefits of having multi-ethnic societies

March 3rd
Very impressed with S1 today who made daffodils inspired by Marie Curie. They each wrote a lovely little note of hope inside the stems
